Jessica partners with clients to reach diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals in a manner that aligns with their strategic imperative and produces lasting organizational change. With deep experience in emergent and responsive approaches, Jessica increases organizational capacity to implement an org-wide DEI strategy and action plan that is adaptive and meets the complexity of the challenge.
With three decades of work in the social justice nonprofit sector, Jessica brings deep change agent experience to her consulting practice. Her facilitation techniques were developed through program management and planning at the grassroots, national, and international organizational level. This included leadership roles in four national coalitions with a successful Jubilee 2000 campaign that canceled national debt for least developed countries in Africa.
With a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University and certified as a Professional CoActive Coach, Jessica combines an understanding of how large systems influence outcomes with a passionate belief that each person can move more powerfully into action towards racial justice. Her inclusion coaching approach partners with white leaders to help them go deep within themselves, reflect on their privilege, make conscious choices to become more inclusive, and take courageous actions to make their organizations more equitable.
Prior to joining the Moving Beyond team in Seattle, Jessica founded and managed a boutique consulting firm for a decade based in New York City. Prior to this, Jessica spent six years managing a national economic justice program with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), a Quaker-based global peace and social justice organization.
